Wisdom In Her Words - poetic verse

She was smiling that smile

Of knowing all,

There was a glow in her eyes

And wisdom in her words

 

As I sat and listened

With a careful ear,

Was her's a message

I was waiting to hear?

 

I had buried in my heart

Not telling anyone,

My heart-felt prayer

Afraid it might come true

 

I would have to be strong then

To wait 'till it could be so,

I didn't think I could

Deep in my heart the desire stayed

 

But she gave me the courage

With her believing eyes,

Could it be so

A miracle to come?

 

I really don't know

But the prayer no longer,

Lies within

As she knows, I know, and God

 

Now that my prayer is known

I feel relieved,

I am starting to believe

And willing to wait... and see.
