Harvey Wallbanger cake

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Mix all cake ingredients together and beat for 4 minutes.
  2. Pour batter into a well-greased and lightly floured Bundt pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 to 50 minutes.
  4. Dust with confectionery sugar /or frost with Orange glaze.
Orange Glaze:

Method:

  1. Melt butter in saucepan.
  2. Add orange rind.
  3. Blend in sugar and 1½ tsp. of the orange juice.
  4. Stir-in additional orange juice, 1 tbsp. at a time; until glaze is the proper consistency.
  5. Spread on warm cake and let it drizzle down the sides.
Another topping.

Confectioners' Chocolate Sauce:

Makes 2½ cups.

Method:

  1. Melt butter in top double boiler, or small pan inside a pot/pan simmering  water.
  2. Stir in c. sugar, chocolate and evaporated milk.
  3. Cook for 30 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat; beat until well blended.
  5. Use right away, or store in refrigerator when cooled.
Note: This sauce will thicken as it cools. It may be reheated over hot water. thin with half-and-half creamer milk.

This is a moist and delicious cake.
